I've said many times, "One day I'll build a golf hole in my backyard."  During the height of the pandemic, with both kids now in college and an Uncle who insisted I take back the rotar tiller he fixed (Thanks Uncle Mickey!) I decided it was time to build it. Here is the result. A green with 5 different pin positiions and 9 different tee boxes giving a total of 45 holes. 

   The course requires using reduced flight golf balls which help create a unique and challenging par-3 golf course experience that will require using all the irons in your golf bag.      I've done extensive testing of many different  reduced flight golf balls and found Almost Golf and Go Sports foam balls are the best.  They perform better than any others and they are very similar to each other, except for price. Using these reduced flight balls increases the difficulty and length of each hole, and the varying length tee shots will challenge your shotmaking skill with every iron in your bag!

The only issue I have had with these balls is that they can get blown around a little on very windy days. On those days I turn to Scicore. They make one of the heaviest foam balls you can get.  They are hands down the closest to a real ball you can get without worring about causing damage with it. Because of the weight they also go further than the others which shortens the course a little but makes it playable..  Bonus - all of the balls mentioned above float, which is useful the times the bunkers become water hazards.
